Golden Wedding Anniversary Verses and Poem: Fifty Years and Counting!
by Ben Cord
Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary!! Original golden wedding anniversary poetry you can use for free!! Romantic wedding anniversary verses and poems that can be use in an anniversary card, at a party or read in a private moment.
The sun has risen over eighteen thousand times,
and each of those days began with you beside me.
Sometimes those years were counted by laughter and blurred by joy,
seen by the children we've raised, who are mightily loved,
that now have our grandkids to look after.
Sometimes our years inevitably became stained by life's sorrows,
but the sun still rose, you were still there,
and we prayed our way through to tomorrow.
I can honestly say when I married you then,
and through our first few years together,
I didn't think my life could be any more blessed.
But you've proved me wrong as I'm standing here now
with more love to give to a bride more wonderful
than any sort of word can express.
The sun has set over eighteen thousand times
since the day you said you would be my wife.
I thank the Lord each day for you, pray for us,
and am so happy that each and every morning
I have you in my life.
